La Sorga is a multicultural permaculture community. We started in October 2002, and we’ve been growing ever since. Our main activities are gardening and construction. We have several gardens where we grow a diverse variety of vegetables and we have young orchard. We built several cabins and a yurt, at the moment we have a transformed caravan as a communal area, but we are building a big house for our future communal space.
We are located in the heart of the Black Perigord in Dordogne, France

thanks for putting your info on the web & for the blog. Its all very inspiring. I want to find a lighter way of living & am looking for communities to visit ,,, tho want one where if I am the granny in the group, I’m not the only one (I’m 45).
Did you start out with lots of permaculture & eco building skills?
Hey – looking forward to seeing more of your progress with the new straw build.
Hello Ash
Thanks for your comments. I found your wiki – but needed google to get here!
What you’re all doing looks good – reminds me of early days in West Cork [many of whom are still going strong - but not communally . . .]
We’d be delighted to welcome you for a meal and a bed for a night – check with us soon to make sure there is no course on: we are often full/ very busy especially June/July. August we’re away. And September can be busy too. But there are gaps.
Bon courage et bonne continuation!
Richard
