Getting here:
Please read our page Getting here.
Funding:
La Sorga is not a commercial enterprise and has no funding besides what the inhabitants contribute. This means we require money to provide all the good things like running water, food, shelter, electricity that are available here.
Work:
Visitors to La Sorga can expect to be involved in the projects and day to day duties of running the farm, as well as the cooking and cleaning. All visitors to La Sorga are expected to be available to work a minimum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week (all work, including cooking and cleaning, counts toward this total, but we expect daily participation for household chores). Of course all this is flexible, we just want to ensure that everyone participates to the construction and buildup of the place.
In some cases we will accept ‘non-working’ visitors, who will be expected to contribute €10 per adult visitor per day, however please contact us to discuss your circumstances before making arrangements to visit.
Length of Stay:
We prefer visits of 2 weeks or more, but please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Food:
Each day’s evening meal is communal, and sometimes the lunch also. At all other times, visitors should prepare their own meals from the food available. Communal meals are typically, but not always, vegetarian, and a vegan option will always be available if required.
Lodgings:
Visitors will be given lodging in a cabin. There is also plenty of space to pitch tents and a little space for caravans etc.
Facilities:
Even though we live in the woods, we have most modern facilities: washing machine, hot water, wifi internet and unlimited phone calls to Europe and North America

Hello. I’m interested in coming to visit the community for 2 weeks, perhaps 1, August – 14, August? I am from America and moved to France about 1 year ago. My level to speak French is very basic. I am very interested in permaculture and intentional communities, and have visited a few in the U.S. and Costa Rica. I look forward to hearing from you. à bientôt, Gina
