- Discussion started by going around the table, giving each person a chance to speak and bring up any important issues for them.
- Antoine mentioned that the Cours Permaculture de Mai 2009 starts on 15th May, and there are several projects it would be good to have finished by then. Apparently there will not be a great deal of food from the gardens ready in time for the course.
- Ash said that he was still very busy with the website work and work contributions would mostly be just making bread, cleaning, etc for at least the next few weeks.
- Antoine and Aymeric spoke about the plans for solar and or wood-fired water heating, to be ready in time for the course if possible.
- Greg, Antoine, Sara proposed moving the Tunnel de bois/Wood tunnel before the Permaculture Course - although no firm agreement was reached about when to do this, or where to move it.
- Greg said he wanted to see the place kept tidier in general.
- Sara brought up the quality of the food ingredients being used, which she believes to be in many cases quite unhealthy. We agreed to try to use better quality food, more emphasis on organics, and obtain some decent quality oil for cooking/salads, etc.
- Chris and Tara said they were happy to be at La Sorga, and wondered if we might be able to clarify a little more what is expected from them in terms of both work output and finances.
- Aymeric proposed €20 per week financial contribution from all adults to cover costs. This was agreed by all. Aymeric suggested Ash keep hold of the Caisse. Ash proposed a little notebook be stored with the caisse to record all incomings/outgoings.
- Aymeric also mentioned he was disappointed with the way his cabin has sometimes been left when people have used it. For example, he often has to go and find new bedding on his return to La Sorga after an absence. Some rules to be posted inside and on its wiki page.
- An evening of pizza and bread (and pies, hopefully!) to be the next day (Saturday 3rd).
Next Meeting
No date was agreed for the next meeting, so probably in around a week's time.
